It’s high time we announced our first show, isn’t it? We’re playing the first ever EARSPLITTER night at The Macbeth in Hoxton on the 7th of March, with Trippy Wicked and the Cosmic Children of the Knight and Sserpress. That’s a nice lineup. Doors are at 8, the price is free, so come to the city and don’t be late.

This one’s long overdue, isn’t it? The urge to take our brand of hard rock and sludge metal on the road has finally become too strong to resist. “But Wolfshead,” you exclaim, “how can you go on the road if you haven’t booked any gigs?” That, friends, is a pertinent question, and one that you should help to answer if you want to see the name ‘Wolfshead’ emblazoned across a load of gig listings in 2013.

We want to play in a town near you. Drop us an email and let us know your favourite venues, or the names of your local promoters, or who all the rad bands in your area are, and we’ll move the earth to make something happen; or, you can use the social sharing buttons below to echo our rallying cry across the Internet machine. Better still, hit up your favourite venues, local promoters, and local bands, and hassle them to put us on the bill sometime — help us find the shows and we’ll help you bang your heads when you go to them.

Promoters! Bands! If you want us to show up and make some noise at your gig, email us the details and we’ll see what we can do to make some magic.

August seems to have been something of a busy month. Reviews of the Wolfshead EP have been pouring in from The Obelisk, The Ripple Effect, Born Again Nihilist and Rock Regeneration. With Sword of Fire only two weeks away, these ought to keep your eyes busy whilst you wait for our new release to keep your ears busy.

Buggles said video killed the radio star. We don’t have any videos yet (unless you count the pithy offerings on our YouTube channel), so rock radio is totally where we’re at. Which is just as well really, given that our major radio debut is due to take place this evening on, coincidentally, TotalRock Radio.

Our track Pissin’ Blood is going to be ruining the ears of whoever listens to ‘The Danger Zone with Maz Star’ between 7pm and 9pm GMT tonight. If you fancy having your ears ruined whilst listening to a lot of other noisy hard rock type stuff, click on the ‘Listen’ link at totalrock.com and prepare to hear the ghost of Tommy Vance occasionally.

So, take that Buggles. We will be radio stars. We’re bringing it back. Until the whole video thing happens, that is. Then the world will be our oyster.

This 12-track nugget of music gold is composed of a number of really great hard rock, metal, and doom bands from across the UK, and is available as a free download from the Loud-Stuff Bandcamp page.

Desertfest and download cards

So, Desertfest is just round the corner and the two of us are going to be there, drinking beer, rocking hard and falling into things for the whole weekend. The festival has sold out, and a quick look at the lineup shows it’s not hard to understand why, so if you’ve missed out on a ticket, hard luck. And it’s not just three days of hard rock you’re missing out on, either - you’ll be missing out grabbing on one of these beauties:

We’ve had a bunch of download cards for the Wolfshead EP printed up just in time for the festival, because being given an ugly, fragile CD-R and carrying it around all day is a bit of a drag when you’re likely to be full of beer and falling into things. We’ll be chucking them at whoever wants them, so if you want to be in receipt of one, make sure you’re at least within chucking distance of the nearest beer dispensing facility.

Of course, the fact that you’re reading this is almost certainly proof that you’ve already heard and possibly downloaded the EP, in which case you’re not missing out on anything at all. But, if you are going to the festival, and do want a piece of dead tree that entitles you to something you probably already have, come and find us - we’ll be the tall guy with the lazy afro and the short guy who looks like he hates everything.

If you happen to enjoy the artwork that graces our website, EP, and digital booklet, you ought to check out the man who drew it and everything - Scott Move. Prints of his work are available in rather limited supply, so if you want something beautiful and peculiar to hang on your wall, you could a lot worse than pick up something from his store.

GOOD MORNING, WORLD.

We are Wolfshead. We are a brand-spanking new band from Fleet, Hampshire, UK. That’s not particularly exciting. What is exciting is our biography, because without knowing who we are there’s not much for you to get excited about. What’s also exciting is that we’re a brand new band with brand new music material, available free of charge to you from this very day onward. Here’s what you will do:

The first thing you will do today is download our EP ‘Wolfshead’. The second thing you will do is listen to it, and listen to it loud. These are the only two things you need to do today. Tomorrow you need only do the second of these things - the same with the day after, and the day after that, and even the day after that. Continue to repeat this ritual until the end of your life - which, if you suffer from a condition aggravated by enormous riffs and cavernous drums, might not be for much longer, but at least you’ll die doing something you enjoy: LISTENING TO SOME GOOD HARD ROCK MUSIC.

We are Wolfshead. You could be a fan. Check us out and make it so.
